Sales & Marketing Manager International Business

Worldwide operating timber Business (NL)

Our client is an worldwide operating timber agent, specialized in hardwood applications for the construction market and DIY.
Due to upcoming expansions of the company operations, they are looking for an international Sales & Marketing Manager.

Job description

You will be responsible for developing new international business. You analyze potential markets and proactively approach new customers. You make first contact with possible leads, make quotations and negotiate the sales in co-operation with the Commercial Director.
You will draft Sales plans, analyze further and monitor the possible business developments accordingly.
You will monitor relevant developments in order to react on the constant changing market situations, various requirements and supplier product innovations.
You will attend international timber fairs. You have a good understanding of cultural differences and are able to adapt to different situations accordingly.
The Sales & Marketing Manager will report directly to the Commercial Director and co-operate closely with the Sales Team.

Job Profile

• Bachelor diploma (or equivalent knowledge and experience)
• Sales experience in International B2B, preferably in the Timber & Construction industry.
• Strong affinity with the timber industry and various timber applications.
• You have a good sense of priority, you work proactively and in a structured manner.
• You are result-focused and possess strong communication skills.
• Experience in exploring and starting new business is an advantage.
• You are highly motivated, flexible and are able to stand your ground when needed.
• You are willing to travel abroad on regular basis.
• Your communications skills are perfect in English language. A second and third foreign language is an advantage.

Job Competences

• Playing an important role in the (International) Commercial & Marketing strategy of the company.
• Presenting company products at various locations, providing potential and new customers with accurate recommendations on new products and innovations.
• Transforming commercial quotations to firm sales orders.
• Recording and reporting the customer acquisition process to the company Sales Team.
• Creating Market Strategies and follow-up accordingly.

• Contract: Full Time positions on permanent basis
• Office location: The Netherlands
