We are specialist in the import and distribution of sawn and planed hardwood from South America and Africa for Garden timber and the ground, civil and construction timber trader in Europe.

To bring our sales force up to strength, we are looking for an enthusiastic colleague for our export department “Account manager southern Europe” (France, Italy, Spain and Portugal)

What will you be doing?
You will work in a small, close, creative and international team in which good cooperation is very important. The export department is in its infancy at Novum Timber BV and you will have a great contribution to give this further structure. You are the first point of contact for our clients in Southern Europe and therefore make an important contribution to the success of Novum Timber BV outside of the Dutch and German borders. It is your task to acquire new customers and to visit existing customers. You enjoy building and maintaining relationships with clients. You pick up leads and recognise important signals from the market, you can clearly translate and analyse this for the purchasing department and also sales statistics and you clearly indicate where improvements can be made.

What do you bring?
A completed education at HBO level, or obtained through work experience.
Knowledge of tropical hardwood is an absolute plus
Excellent knowledge of the English language, Spanish, Italian or French would be an absolute plus
Good communication skills;

Good cooperation in order to achieve the set goals;
An initiating and proactive attitude;
Being able to take well-founded decisions;
Ability to anticipate signals from the market and to convert them into concrete assignments;
